Picture Day is coming to MMS on April 15. Students should have brought home an informational flyer. If they want their picture taken, they must bring the completed flyer back to school on April 15, along with the exact payment. Mrs. Cope and Mrs. Bryson's students are learning about growing food. The class enjoys watching their tomato plants grow and recently planted cucumber seeds.

Students were given a paper copy of instructions for how parents can update and ensure student information is correct for the upcoming school year.
All 8th-grade students must turn in the FHS registration form to the box in the front lobby on Monday. If you did not receive a form, one will be given to you on Monday.

This is an exciting week for our 8th-grade students at MMS.
On Wednesday, they will visit FHS for a campus tour. They will explore the school environment and visit elective classrooms to see options.
On Thursday, FHS representatives will visit MMS to discuss elective offerings for 8th-grade students. Students will receive a registration form to take home for parent review and completion.
Please return the completed registration form to MMS on Monday, March 10. There will be a box in the main lobby for completed forms.

MMS would like to congratulate Lucy Story, Emma Register, Charleigh Wooten, Camryn Waldroop, Rachael Evans, Raeyln Greene, and Nicole Cameron for being selected to display their artwork at the Cowee Heritage Center for the month of March.


A huge thank you to the North Carolina Go Grant and the Asheville Astronomical Club for an unforgettable night under the stars! Thanks to their generosity, students from the MMS Outdoor Club had the incredible opportunity to explore the beauty of the night sky through high-powered telescopes.
From Venus, Jupiter, and Mars to breathtaking nebulas and countless stars, our students experienced the universe's wonders up close. And to top it all off, they even made s’mores around the fire!
A special shoutout to the Macon Aero Modelers for hosting this truly amazing night! We are so grateful for this experience and everyone who made it possible.




8th-grade students in Mrs. West's science class learn about plate tectonics in their Earth History Unit. They especially loved playing with homemade playdough.







Mrs. Elkin's 7th-grade math class students enjoy learning math concepts using Legos and solving puzzles.
